
The Caribbean Express Service (CES) will be taking cargo weekly from Costa Rica to the Dominican Republic and from here to northern Europe. The MV Balao of Hapag Lloyd will be offering the service.
This is a first Costa Rica + Dominican Republic connection to Europe. The ship will be serviced at DP World Caucedo, the maritime terminal and free zone that is ranked 13th in Latin America and the Caribbean. Caucedo is the most important port in the Dominican Republic. With warehousing capacity and located next to the Las Americas International Airport, Caucedo is also a major regional logistics center.
On occasion of the start of the new freight service, Ramón Badia, DP World Caucedo commercial director, recognized M/V Balao’s captain Tudorel Conciu.
