The Chamber of Deputies passed with amendments in two sessions the Transparency and Patrimony Reassessment Bill. The bill is by Senator Adriano Sanchez Roa (PRSC-Elias Piña). It establishes a transitory tax regime whereby taxpayers can declare, reassess and pay taxes on property to regularize their tax obligations. The bill has articles that will penalize the middle class, reports Diario Libre.
The Senate now needs to pass the bill. The bill is open to physical persons, legal companies and undivided family estates. The bill is included in the priorities established by President Danilo Medina when convening the extraordinary session of the legislators.
