
Evaristo Cedeño, special agent of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) stationed in the Dominican Republic, was decorated with the Order of Merit Duarte, Sánchez and Mella in the Knight Degree. He received the award at the DR’s National Drug Control Agency.
Cedeño, a native of La Romana, was recognized with one of the highest honors the country grants for his contributions to the fight against drug trafficking and transnational organized crime.
The head of the anti-narcotics agency, Vice Admiral Felix Alburquerque Comprés, highlighted the work done by Special Agent Cedeño, and said that in his six years of service he had made great contributions to the pursuit of national interests.
