Almost at the midnight deadline for the registering of candidates for the presidential and congressional election, political parties let the nation know who would be holding the No. 2 position.
The options for the presidential elections of 17 May 2020 for president and vice president are:
Dominican Liberation Party (PLD): Gonzalo Castillo and Margarita Cedeño. Cedeño is at present Vice President of the Republic.
Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), Frente Amplio: Luis Abinader and Raquel Peña. Peña is the vice rector in charge of Business and Finance at the PUCMM.
People’s Force (FP): Leonel Fernández and Sergia Elena de Seliman. Congresswoman Seliman is at present deputy for the Central American Parliament (Parlacen).
Alianza Pais (AlPais): Guillermo Moreno and Agustin González Morel
Green Party: Porfirio López Nieto and José Alberto Adams.
