The case of infectologist Hector Balcácer, who had made the rounds of several radio and TV talk shows to share valuable information to prevent the spreading of coronavirus in the country, has been trending. The physician appeared on half a dozen shows. Then on last TV show he is asked by one of the hosts whether he has the virus, and he nervously says he would be tested that day. The doctor tested positive and that evening alerted those he had been near.
TV and radio stations where he had appeared were shut down and sanitized.
Many TV shows are now being carried out with people broadcasting from their homes.
