Thomas Tours International, as it does every year, is organizing the stand for the Dominican Republic at the important ITB travel trade fair in Berlin, the world’s largest exhibition of its type. The Dominican mission will be head by the Minister of Tourism, Frank Jorge Elias, who will be accompanied by more than 80 representatives from the private sector. It will be open from 9 to 13 March. The Dominican stand, organized by Rosalinda and Carolyn Thomas, will take up 145 square meters, and will be the largest for the Caribbean and Central America. Some 32 tables for discussions will be placed in the Dominican stand where the exhibitors will be assisted by interpreters for German, English and Spanish. More than 5,000 exhibitors from over 160 countries participated in ITB Berlin in 1995 and some 50,000 visitors attended.
