Dominican singer-songwriter Juan Luis Guerra was inspired to write “Gracias” on Friday, a Christian song he composed in the midst of the present global health crisis. In the Dominican Republic, 68 persons had died when the song was released.
Guerra is perhaps the most international artist of the Dominican Republic. He released the theme on his Instagram page. He specified the song is based on the biblical verse Philippians 4:6-7. The verse states: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
