PCR tests to Santo Domingo North city councilors came back negative for Covid-19. The rapid response tests had shown positive results for 16 of the 17 elected councilors for the municipality that is part of Greater Santo Domingo. The councilors were tested on 24 April 2020, the day they were sworn in to begin their four-year terms in the city government.
In his Sunday, 10 May 2020 press briefing, Public Health Minister Rafael Sanchez Cardenas shared the good news.
