Maestro Jorge Severino died on Monday, 10 May 2020 in the early morning. He is most famous for his paintings of regally attired black Dominican women. He developed the style early on when attempting to emulate the classic photograph sitting of the upper class in his native Puerto Plata.
In recent years, he had served in the Dominican Embassy in Spain.
