At the end of the 13 May 2020 press briefing, Dr. Rafael Sánchez Cárdenas confirmed that there were 654 people hospitalized in the Dominican Republic. He gave the number of 654 hospitalized persons when responding to a question on the number of persons in hospital isolation made to him by the press briefing moderator. This would be down from 1,837 on the previous day. Interestingly, Bulletin #55 uploaded to the Ministry of Public Health web page does not post a number for hospitalizations.
