Now it is known that George Floyd worked as a security officer at a restaurant owned by a Dominican in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Floyd died after a policeman knelt on his neck for several minutes, impeding his breathing. Ruth Thunstrom explains that Floyd was working as security at her restaurant, Conga Latin Bistro, for four years. The restaurant is also a night club.
She said that Floyd was never aggressive with clients and that they spoke very highly of him. “All of Conga’s clients loved him, he never had problems with anyone, on the contrary, he was always a very attentive person, if something happened he was very nice and tried to talk to that person,” she said.
She said she learned of his death through a chat with one of her other employees. One of the girls sent the video and said,” I hope it’s not Floyd, but it looks like it’s him.”
