
With a month and a half to go before the end of his administration, President Danilo Medina appointed new governors in seven provinces. He also appointed a new consul for Ouanaminthe, Haiti and a new deputy director for the Dominican Agrarian Institute (IAD). The appointments are in Decree 208-20.
The Presidency website confirms the naming of Francisco Santana as the new provincial governor of San Pedro de Macoris, Manuel E. González in San José de Ocoa. Also Edwin Francisco Gómez Lizardo in María Trinidad Sánchez (Nagua and Cabrera), Rafael Peña in Bahoruco; Darío Fortuna in Elías Piña; Andrés Lugo in Santiago Rodríguez; and Marcelino Fulgencio in El Seibo.
Miguel Angel Núñez is the new consul in Ouanaminthe, Haiti and Blas Hernández is the newest deputy director for the IAD.
