The president of the Central Electoral Board (JCE), Julio César Castaños Guzmán, announced on Friday, 12 June 2020 that the Spanish and German governments have given their consent for holding Dominican presidential and congressional elections on 5 July and for the possible 26 July second-round vote.
Dominicans should consult the JCE database to ascertain where they are assigned to vote.
