
According to Coronavirus Bulletin #88 of the Ministry of Public Health’s Department of Epidemiology, the Dominican Republic has 23,271 confirmed cases, 309 new confirmed cases from 110,781 PCR diagnostic tests. The number of PCR tests is the lowest in the past six days. The tally of deaths is 605, including 13 new deaths, 12 of these in Greater Santo Domingo. 2,702 patients are hospitalized, down from 2,735 patients the previous day. Of these, 145 patients are in intensive care units, up 11 from the previous day. The number of coronavirus-related deaths has increased to average 7.35 over the past 14 days, reflecting the reopening of the economy. The fatality rate Bulletin #88 is at 2.60%, up from 2.58% the previous day.

The average per day of PCR diagnostic tests for the past 14 days is 1,956. The statistical reports do not include rapid response blood antibody tests or patients diagnosed with tomography or other means. The Dominican Republic has a population of more than 10 million people.
As of Sunday, 14 June 2020 at 4pm, the most confirmed cases continue to be reported in urban areas. Greater Santo Domingo (Santo Domingo province and the National District) has 53.5% of the 22,962 total confirmed cases. Santiago, San Cristobal, La Vega, Duarte (San Francisco de Macorís), Espaillat, La Romana, La Altagracia (Higuey, Verón, Punta Cana), Puerto Plata, Azua, Monseñor Nouel (Bonao), Barahona, Sánchez Ramírez (Cotuí) and Hermanas Mirabal (Salcedo) are provinces that have 200 or more cases.
The most new cases or recently allocated cases are reported for the 14 June deadline are: Santo Domingo Province (125), National District (75), Valverde (24), La Romana (14), Santiago (12), La Vega (12), La Altagracia (9), San Cristóbal (7), Espaillat (7), San Pedro de Macorís (4), Azua (4), María Trinidad Sánchez (3) and Hermanas Mirabal (2). The Ministry of Public Health reports one or no confirmed cases in 19 of 31 provinces and the National District.
