
The Medina administration and President-elect Abinader transition committees are giving priority to health, economy and education issues. As reported in Listin Diario, Lisandro Macarrulla, coordinator for the Abinader team, said that the priority is public health. Next is the reactivation of the economy in the short, medium and long term; and the necessary measures to be taken for the start of classes at the different levels.
For the Medina administration, the committee is under the coordination of Presidency Minister Gustavo Montalvo. Other members are Administrative Minister of the Presidency José Ramón Peralta; Hacienda Minister Donald Guerrero; Economy Minister Juan Ariel Jiménez; Vice Minister of the Presidency Zoraima Cuello; and Legal Advisor to the President Flavio Darío Espinal. For the Abinader side, the committee is made up of Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM) president, Jose Ignacio Paliza, Antoliano Peralta Romero, Miguel Ceara Hatton, Jochi Vicente, Sonia Guzman, Dario Castillo and Gloria Reyes as executive coordinator.
President-elect Luis Abinader announced a separate health cabinet will be meeting with the Medina administration health authorities during the transition period. For the new government, the transition health team is made up by Vice President-elect Raquel Peña and physicians Plutarco Arias, Mario Lama, Victor Atallah, Eddy Pérez Then, José Miguel Stephan, Daniel Rivera, Natalia García and Ivelisse Acosta.
