Manny Perez plays Detective Sixto Santiago in Big Dogs, a most timely action and drama series in its season 1 on Amazon Prime. The story focuses on a New York City besieged by race riots, financial collapse and a surging crime wave, and an underworld economy of thriving illegal nightclubs. Detective Santiago is tasked to crack down on these clubs.
For his acting in Big Dogs, Perez has gotten excellent reviews. His character is seen as the moral compass of the police department.
Many will remember Manny Pérez for his stellar role in the “La Soga,” the 2009 film on a police colonel who became a hired killer. Perez announced on “Esta Noche con Mariasela” that sequels to that film are forthcoming.
