The Superintendence of Banks (SIB) issued Circular 018-20 with the new hours for banking services to the public. The notice came after the government put into effect a new curfew from 7pm to 5am Monday to Friday and from 5pm to 5am on Saturdays and Sundays for most large cities, including the capital city.
Commercial banking is now open from 8am to 4pm Monday through Friday and from 9am to 2pm on Saturdays. The schedules are the same for shopping malls. Banks are not open for service on Sundays.
