A report in Listin Diario reminds Dominicans about the classy Dominican Vice President-elect Raquel Peña. Peña previously was the vice rector of the largest private university, the Pontifical Catholic University Madre y Maestra, when chosen by Luis Abinader to be his running mate for the 5 July presidential election.
In addition to her role as Vice President, President-elect Abinader has chosen her to lead the Health Cabinet in these times of Covid-19 epidemic and the recent spike in cases.
A recent feature in Listin Diario by Celeste Pérez describes Peña as a woman “with her own ideas and lots of style.” The Vice President-elect is assisted by Dominican stylist Reading Pantaleón. “Peña projects a style with which she feels comfortable, and even in the most casual environments she maintains her ladylike essence,” writes the journalist.
