Dominicans celebrate the life of Maestro Papa Molina

Legendary orchestra conductor Ramon Antonio Molina Pacheco (Papa Molina) died on Wednesday, 5 August 2020, of cancer. He was 94 years old. He is best known for his arrangements that gave a boost to merengue music. He was a trumpet player. The late Papa Molina is the father of the National Symphony Orchestra conductor, Maestro Jose Antonio Molina. He is also survived by his wife, Josefina Miniño, known for her major contributions to Dominican folklore dancing.
