The National Senate approved the RD$202 billion complementary budget to provide additional funds to deal with increased spending for the Covid- 19 virus. Health spending alone in the bill is for RD$90 billion through December 2020. The bill authorizes the government to take on new loans.
It now moves to the Presidency for enactment.
