President Luis Abinader was present for the formal opening of Scotiabank’s second Global Services Campus. The business service center is at the Las Americas Free Zone Park in eastern Santo Domingo province. It is the second campus in Latin America. A first opened in Bogotá, Colombia in 2018.

Scotiabank is the third-largest private bank in the country.

When operating at full capacity, the Santo Domingo center will employ 2,000 who will serve Scotiabank customers and staff in Canada, the United States, Chile and the Virgin Islands.
