Adriano Miguel Tejada writes his farewell editorial

After 16 years at the helm of Diario Libre, Adriano Miguel Tejada is retiring as executive editor of the leading Dominican newspaper. He is 72 years old. He is one of the newspaper’s founders and turned it from scratch to be the most read newspaper in the country in its print and digital versions

Tejada says he is retiring to dedicate himself to his other vocation, historical research, and to give time to his daughters and grandchildren.

In his farewell editorial in Diario Libre he writes:

“Retirement is a law of life, not only to make way for new generations and the new ideas they may bring but also because the family deserves to have, even if it is in the last stretch of life, a small reward for its sacrifices.”
Diario Libre has not announced Adriano Miguel Tejada’s replacement.
