
Ecuador Ambassador Enrique Cadena has signed an agreement with Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez to boost business, trade and investment opportunities.
Productive linkages to exploit market niches for both countries will be identified.
Customs Agency (DGA) data indicates that trade between both countries was at US$100 million in 2018. The goal is to double this number.
According to this Memorandum of Understanding, both countries will work to strengthen economic and commercial relations between the parties, supporting the exchange of information, strategies and visions between the public and private sectors of both nations, carrying out activities to achieve the exchange of best practices and technical assistance that will seek to achieve the expected objectives.
The Ministry of Foreign Relations represents the Dominican Republic and the Ministry of Production, Foreign Trade, Investment and Fisheries, the Republic of Ecuador. At least once a year this bilateral group should meet to discuss the established objectives.
