Rafael Arias, executive director of Intrant, explained the measure seeks to improve road security and prevent traffic accidents due to the increase in traffic during the Christmas and New Year festivities.
A maximum speed limit of 70 kilometers per hour is set for cargo vehicles. These must always travel in the far right lane on all highways in compliance with Mobility, Land Transportation, Transit and Road Safety Law 63-17.
