President Luis Abinader enjoyed a luncheon with several Major League Baseball players, some active and some retires, including Hall of Famers Pedro Martinez and Vladimir Guerrero and David Ortiz. Present were Nelson Cruz, Johnny Cueto, Franchi Cordero, Fernando Tatis junior and Edwin Encarnación.
Erick Almonte, the president of the Dominican Professional Baseball Players Association was also present.
Abinader told them ballplayers are part of the nation’s country brand. Abinader encouraged the players to invest in the country and the development of their respective communities.
