Legendary merengue singer Vinicio Antonio Franco Rodríguez died on Saturday, 19 December 2020 at the Ramón de Lara Air Force Hospital where he was hospitalized with Covid-19. He was 87 years old. He is also known for his bolero and salsa performances. His biography indicates he recorded over 460 merengues.
