DR suspends UK flights

The Civil Aviation Board (JAC) announced flights from and to the United Kingdom are on hold due to the fast-spreading Covid-19 strain reported for that country. JAC issued Resolution 147-2020 on Monday, 21 December 2020 cancelling the air operations between the United Kingdom and the DR. The resolution will be in effect from 21 December 2020 until 10 January 2021. Depending on the circumstances, the ban can be extended.

The restriction does not affect emergency operations, cargo and mail flights, Medevac, technical stops and overflights of general and commercial aviation, as long as they have prior authorization from the aeronautical authorities of the Dominican Republic, with the exception of aircraft in a state of emergency and overflights of general and commercial aviation.
