A truck and eight light vehicles rammed into each other at Km 22 of the Las Americas Highway, near the toll station. Two people are reported to have been injured. Many of the vehicles are severely damaged.
The accident caused a large traffic jam. Agents of the Traffic Safety and Land Transportation Agency (Digesett) helped clear the road. Preliminary reports indicate the accident occurred when a vehicle slid off the road.
