Over the past two days, the incident in which a cyclist was arrested for violation of Decree 740-20 became a trending topic. The cyclist argued he was not in violation because he was riding his bike on the Avenida de la Salud, which is not part of the Mirador del Sur Park. He argued circulating in the park was banned, not so on the city avenue. He also said he rode home, a short distance away, where he was arrested for not heeding to the police’s call to stop. He was handcuffed and taken to the Police station at the Mirador del Sur Park.
