Diario Libre outlines nine doable trails for weekend hiking in the Dominican Republic. The trails are defined as easy for most persons in good health.

Máximo Gómez Trail (8.9km – 3 hours) in San Cristóbal.
Chorrera de las Yayitas (1.1 km, 33 minutes) in Peravia.
Dunas de las Calderas (1.9km, 3 hours) in Peravia.
Segundo Salto de Jima (2.4 km, 1 hour) in Monseñor Nouel.
Cascada Blanca (3.5 km, 1.5 hour), El Seibo.
Guácara Hoyo de Sanabe (5.6 km, 1 hour), Sánchez Ramírez.
Francis Caamaño (2.6 km, 1 hour), Azua.
Salto de Socoa (1 km, ½ hour), Monte Plata.
Salto Anacaona (4. Km, 1.5 hour), Santiago.
