President Abinader inaugurates Live Aqua Beach Resort in Punta Cana

President Luis Abinader attended the inauguration of the adults-only Live Aqua Beach Resort Punta Cana in Uvero Alto, in the northern beach area of the Punta Cana area. The hotel is around half an hour from Punta Cana International Airport. This is Grupo Posadas of Mexico’s first resort in the Dominican Republic.

Tourism Minister David Collado and José Carlos Azcárraga, CEO of Grupo Posadas, cut the ribbon together with President Abinader.

The Live Aqua Beach Resort Punta Cana has 347 suites available distributed in eight three-story buildings. The Mexican company invested US$120 million in the new beach resort.

Grupo Posadas is the largest and most important hotel operator in Mexico, with more than 180 hotels and over 27,500 rooms in beach and city destinations located in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.

During his visit to the Punta Cana area, President Abinader motivated hotel owners and management to sign on to the new government housing program, Familia Feliz, to benefit their employees.
