More free zones and more good jobs

The National Council of Export Free Zones (CNZFE) approved 12 new companies and the expansion of two existing companies. US$28 million will be injected in the economy to create more than 1,600 jobs. The new enterprises are scattered all over the country, from Mao to Barahona, Puerto Plata to Santo Domingo. They will produce footware, medical devices, apparel and operate call centers.
