Tourism Minister David Collado announces works for Puerto Plata

In a meeting with more than 50 members of the Dominican Association of Tourism Press (Adompretur) in Ocean World in Cofresí, Puerto Plata city, Tourism Minister David Collado announced that in Sosúa beach area alone, RD$300 million would be invested. He also announced improvements for Cabarete Beach.

Collado annonced facilities for parking of 600 vehicles, plazas for vendors and better accesses to the beaches.

The government would fund the construction of the Puerto Plata tourism museum and offices of Adompretur in Puerto Plata.

During the meeting, Collado was accompanied by senator Ginnette Bournial (PRM-Puerto Plata), Puerto Plata governor Claritza Rochette Peralta and mayor Roquelito García.

The delegation of the tourism press was headed by José María Reyes, president of Adompretur, and Tony Almonte, secretary of the Puerto Plata branch.
