
World Athletics ranked the Dominican Republic’s Marileidy Paulino tops in the world in the 400m track event. Next are legendary track stars Shaunae Miller-Uibo of Bahamas, Stephenie Ann McPherson (Jamaica), Quanera Hayes (USA) and Allyson Felix.
Shaunae Miller-Uibo won the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympic Games. Paulino won silver in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. Allyson Felix won the bronze.
Athletes score points for the World Athletics global ranking system based on a combination of result and place depending on the level of the competition in which the result is achieved. The ranking is then based on their average score over a certain number of competitions in a defined period of time. The world rankings are updated weekly.
