
911 Emergency System delivered the first 500 car kits to the National Police for use in patrol cars. The car kits are part of a package of new technology that seeks to better equip the Police to fight crime.
Presidency Minister Lisandro Macarrulla, Interior & Police Minister Jesús Vásquez Martínez and 911 director, Colonel Randolfo Rijo delivered the kits to Police director, Major General Eduardo Alberto Then. Also receiving were Servio Tulio Castaños, who is the coordinator of the high-level committee for the modernization of the Police.
Major General Alberto Then said this system will allow the real time monitoring of the police in the performance of their duties. He said the car kits make it possible to record videos, audios and photographs of the agents on the job, and record their effectiveness in applying the law.
