vacunate.gob.do

Recent government requirements to carry a vaccination certificate to access public or private buildings have led to a series of confusions, complications, and even counterfeiting. Media has covered news of police closures of printing companies found printing fake certificates and PCR test documents.

Now, the Ministry of Public Health announces a digital vaccination certificate that is tied into the government vaccination database.

The new document will have a QR code that opens to the vaccination data.

There are different categories: Adults with cedula (ID), adults without cedula (ID) and those under 18 years.

Here are the necessary steps to obtain one:

Step 1 is to go to the website vacunaterd.gob.do. Scroll down the page.
Step 2 is to choose your civil status (adult or minor), and whether you have a cédula or not. Only those persons 18 or over can use this service.
Step 3 is to fill out a form with your name and cédula.
Step 4 is for those that have a passport, and a new page opens.

Step 5 is to fill in your contact information, either via Whatsapp or email address.

Step 6, the last step is to insert a photograph.

You will then receive a QR code and with the cedula number to access your certificate.
