
Last week, the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) approved flights by AraJet from the Dominican Republic to the United States, Cuba, Colombia, Costa Rica, Netherlands, Mexico, Panama, Aruba, France, Guatemala, Peru, Haiti, Canada and Trinidad and Tobago. The new Dominican airline will be flying a B-737-800, and expects to begin operations in January 2022.
The JAC plenary heard and approved the request for amendment to the Economic Authorization Certificate (CAE) number 25, issued to AraJet, to include 30 new routes and also authorizes the operation of scheduled and non-scheduled air transport services of passengers and cargo, in international operations.
Arajet is the new name of the Dominican Wings/Flycana lowcost carrier based in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic that has been authorized for the new regular and charter flights.
