
Spain and the Dominican Republic have agreed to start in 2022 a pilot project to promote circular labor migration in a safe manner, fostering cooperation and the exchange of knowledge and experiences.
Circular labor migration allows the legal mobility of workers between two countries.
The Dominican Minister of Labor and president of the Ibero-American Social Security Organization (OISS), Luis Miguel De Camps García and the Spanish Minister of Inclusion, Social Security and Migration, José Luis Escrivá Belmonto signed the agreement for circular migration. Circular labor migration
The agreement is aimed at strengthening and favoring relations between the nations in the midst of the new global reality in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic. The agreement highlights the historical ties between both countries.
