President Luis Abinader had taken a break from his intense public agenda and did not make public appearances from 23 to 30 December 2021. But by 31 December 2021, he was back on the road, this time with a visit to the army members stationed on the border with Haiti. He patrolled Elías Piña accompanied by Minister of Defense Carlos Luciano Diaz Morfa and Army Mayor General Julio Ernesto Florian Perez.
Economy Minister Miguel Ceara-Hatton was at the El Dia morning televised TV show. He is also optimistic 2022 will be a good year for the Dominican Republic.
