Drug kingpin Cesar Emilio Peralta is now being tried in a US federal court in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The capo operated freely in the Dominican Republic for years. The US authorities say it is apparent he had the protection of the government in the Dominican Republic.
The hearings in Puerto Rico are expected to deliver more information on the contacts of Cesar Emilio Peralta in the past Dominican government. Somos Pueblo’s Ricardo Ripoll recently interviewed Rafael Antonio Guerrero of Corrupción al Desnudo, a YouTube channel that has focused on impunity and corruption in the Dominican government. In the interview, Guerrero explains his relationship with Peralta and gives insights into tapes he has where the capo tells of his relationship with the past government and former President Danilo Medina.
