Procurement Agency increases purchase price ceilings

The Public Procurement Agency (DGCP) announced on Monday, 3 January 2022 new thresholds to be used by government institutions. The reference values are for government purchases of goods, services and works covered by Procurement Law 340-06.

Resolution 01-2022 establishes that entities must call for public bids for all works from an amount of RD$404,657,143.00 and upwards, and for the acquisition of goods and services ranging from RD$5,312,506.00 and upwards.

In the case of restricted bidding, the new thresholds for works range from RD$206,227,321.00 to RD$404,657,142.99; while for goods and services, they range from RD$5,258,566.00 to RD$5,312,505.99.

The referential value ranges for public works are now from RD$123,736,393.00 to RD$206,227,320.99.

Regarding the price comparison procedure for works for 2022, the procurement ceiling now ranges from RD$32,996,371.00 to RD$123,736,392.99; while in the case of goods and services the ceiling for this contracting modality ranges from RD$1,237,364.00 to RD$5,258,565.99.

For minor purchases of goods and services the threshold established by the DGCP is between RD$164,982.00 and RD$1,237,363.99.
