Diario Libre reports that the Ministry of Education has had text books for public school students in their warehouses since November 2021. The Ministry of Education was late in ordering the books after the Ministry maintained through the first half of 2021 a strong position in favor of digital learning and not a return to in-person learning.
Diario Libre reports that physical books published by Actualidad Escolar, Editorial Santillana, Editora Centenario, Casa Duarte, Disesa, Ediciones CP, Editora Alfa y Omega, Ediciones Salome and Susaeta have been delivered to the Ministry of Education for the public school students.
As reported, the Ministry of Education spent RD$3.28 billion for the printing of 9,167,910 textbooks.
