The section of Máximo Gómez Avenue between 27 de Febrero Avenue and George Washington Avenue (the Malecón) now has street lights again as the Edesur power distributor advances on its first phase of its “My Safe Country” program.
The National District electricity distributor reports that the works also included the repair and normalization of other lamps in the surroundings of this busy avenue.
The lighting directly benefits the students and teachers at the UNAPEC, UTESA and UFHEC universities. Also benefiting are users of the UCE Medical Center, the National Theater, the Palace of Fine Arts and those who use the Santo Domingo Metro stations at night.
