Norwegian Escape passengers leave; ship to get repair job

The Washington Post reported on the difficulties experienced by passengers who had come on the Norwegian Escape cruise that made a stopover in Puerto Plata. The ship ran aground when making its way through the designated channel to leave the port area and enter Atlantic Ocean deep waters from the Taino Bay terminal. The ship remained at Taino Bay while the passengers were instructed to fly back to Florida. The passengers had arrived on a seven-day Caribean cruise from Cape Cañaveral. The Norwegian Escape had been booked for Monday stops at Taino Bay.
