The Ministry of Culture is now working on choosing the theatrical performances that will participate in the 7th National Theater Festival. Those selected need to have been presenting works to the general public for at least five years. The event is on schedule for 20 to 30 October 2022 in Santo Domingo. The festival is open to various theatrical presentations – street theater, performances, dance-theater, puppet theater, musicals, children’s plays.
Culture Minister Milagros German is the chair of the festival organizing committee. Other members are Deputy Minister for Creativity and Artistic Formation Giovanny Cruz; Reinaldo Disla, executive director of the Festival; Mario Lebron, director of Bellas Artes; and Carlos Espinal, director of the National Theater.
