Juan Furcal, father of Franyelis Maria Furcal, the 30-year old woman who a video captured stabbing her Chinese supervisor, 34-year old Jhei Leet at a Av. Duarte hardware store, speculates his daughter could have been made “chofan.” He says she has not contacted the family.
The family has not heard from her and her whereabouts are unknown. She has three small children.
The footage of her leaving the store has not been shared online, contrary to abundant footage of the incident when she stabs the Chinese employee and later returns with her bosses to assist the man where he lay. Security at the exit of the stores is enforced.
Labor Minister Miguel de Camps said that the Ministry of Labor is preparing a report on the incident.
