Two-time Oscar winner Jodie Foster is in the Dominican Republic for the filming of the Netflix biography on the life of long-distance swimmer Diana Nyad. In the film, Annette Bening is Diana Nyad. Previously Nyad had swum around the length of Manhattan, or 28 miles.
The film is directed by Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin, both known for their outstanding documentary work.
