Strike delays flights out of AILA

Strike action by employees of the Airport Services Division (DASA) at Las Americas International Airport (AILA) has caused delays for at least four American Airlines flights. The ground staff staged a work stoppage in demand of the US$800 dollar pay incentives that they had been promised. When the company paid them just US$200, the workers suspended their activities, causing flight delays. The Airport Services Division serves American Airlines as ramp personnel and is the crew that loads and unloads the aircraft.
