After a report in El Nuevo Diario, the Ministry of Public Works announced the contractors in charge of renovations of Duarte Bridge will be honoring the guarantee and correcting the flaws.
El Nuevo Diario reports that the company, Proyectos Industriales (PINSA) is proceeding to correct the flaws in the expansion joints that were placed on the east side of the bridge.
The Ministry of Public Works announced that the Duarte Bridge will again be closed to vehicular traffic starting Saturday, 10 December 2022, at 9pm. The bridge is scheduled to be reopened to traffic on 6pm on Sunday, 11 December.
