Judge Yanibet Rivas ordered preventive measures of impediment to leave the country and electronic shackle to former presidential head of security Adan Caceres, pastor Rossy Guzman (La Pastora) and her son Tanner Flete, and Colonel Rafael Núñez de Aza who previously were in jail. These are accused in the so-called Coral corruption case. The judge argued that the 18-month jail order dates back to 5 May 2021 when the Penal Code allows for house arrest, prohibition to leave the country and the placement of electronic shackles, measures that are now imposed to the accused in the Coral case.

To Cáceres and Núñez de Aza, the judge also imposed bail of RD$100 million, and to the mother and her son, RD$50 million in bail. The practice is to contract the bail with an insurance company, paying 10% of the total.

Likewise, an Appeals Court judge hearing the Anti-Octopus Case against the sister of former President Danilo Medina, Magalys Medina Sanchez ordered the removal of her electronic shackle. The Anti-Pulpo case looks into administrative corruption and asset laundering of persons of influence in the Medina administration.

An editorial in Diario Libre remarks that the headline-making corruption cases are sinking. Gradually, punitive measures against accused in the corruption and asset laundering cases by the government anti-administrative corruption office have been relaxed. In several cases, deals have been reached with the accused for returning assets.
